Diabetes Medications linked to More Heart Problems

Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation-

I hope that you enjoyed your weekend. It was nice but cooler. I was hoping that we would get more rain to get rid of some of the dust the farmers are kicking up but maybe it will come this week. The weather this time of year is great, but we know what’s coming. I always look at the trees, and they are still green, meaning we should have a longer Fall season. It’s time to start looking at freezes coming and the chores that go with it, like draining and putting the garden hoses away. We’re starting to see more flus and colds so we are ramping up the use of Congaplex and Cataplex A-C, our great and simple products that help to strengthen the immune system. At Natural Health, we work on the health side of these problems rather than just taking antibiotics or shots. Folks might need emergency care but why not just get healthy and not get into that predicament?

The article that I’m sending along this week has to do with studies linking common diabetes medications to heart problems. It is about the drug interactions of one causing problems with other conditions and how we need to realize that the drug companies that test their own products cannot be trusted to do complete testing. It’s also important to understand that there is hardly any testing on taking multiple drugs at the same time, especially long term, like for years. And please, please, please understand that medication is not nutrition, it will not help the body get healthier, it just controls symptoms and numbers. It’s like putting black tape over the red lights on the dashboard of your car. You know what’s going to happen if you don’t find the cause of the car trouble – major repairs. That’s what happens in the human body, just taking meds and not handling the cause of the illness or problem lends to some major degenerative disease. In this case it was diabetes meds causing heart disease but there are many other examples. One that I see often is the long-term use of blood pressure drugs causing congestive heart failure. The blood pressure number is controlled but at the expense of the heart muscle strength and the valves warp causing inefficiency of the pumping action – congestive heart failure. At Natural Health, we look for the cause of the patients’ problems and help them understand what it takes to be actually healthy, not just symptom free.
