Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation-
I hope that you have enjoyed seeing these blogs in the newsletter format that we have started sending out. Our office manager and social media person have worked hand in hand to get these newsletters out, not only for those that have internet, but we print them for patients who do not have these capabilities or just like to read it in print.
We're having some beautiful weather now and I hope it hangs around. We had gotten some rain last weekend and it's still nice to have everything green this late in the summer. We're still dealing with some allergy problems and sinus drainage here with patients, but our Cal-Amo and Antronex products can't really help with these symptoms, and we use them a lot!
The article that I'm reviewing today looks at the problems with using trans fats, or seed oils, in our diets. The article is entitled "The Trans-fat Policy Killed Millions." That's a pretty bold statement, but it is true.
This policy was started by the powers that be after President Eisenhower's heart attack, blaming saturated fats for these problems. As we all know by now, it is the increased use of refined carbohydrates and processed flour and foods that lend towards plaquing, heart attacks and strokes.
Changing everyone's diet from good quality lard and tallow and butter to highly processed seed oils and margarine just made the problem much worse, as we have seen from the increase in death from heart attacks and strokes over the decades. The seed oils caused their own problems with inflammation throughout the body and actually make the problem with arterial sclerosis and plaquing worse. It also causes the body to lose the ability to make energy correctly and therefore do the functions it needs to do—like keeping the immune system working correctly—which leads to cancer and other problems that people face.
At Natural Health, we have been talking about this for decades now and it's about time that mainstream media catches up. I think that there'll be a lot of subjects like this over time, but the damage has been done to the people that live now and the medical profession does not want to lose their cash cow of statin drugs and treatments for cancer, heart disease, and diabetes.
It's a big money making business and hard to shift to the primary focus being on health and not money. At Natural Health, we are trying to change this paradigm one patient at a time, but it seems that we're working against the mainstream media and mainstream medicine a lot. Hopefully that will change sooner than later.
Get Healthy, Stay Healthy, and Live Well-
Dr. Mark
