Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation –
I hope that you enjoyed your weekend and were able to get out there and get some Christmas shopping done. I don't know where this year has gone but we're headed towards Christmas at warp speed it seems. Luckily, I can do most of my Christmas shopping by buying gift cards and have done so and I'm feeling very good about it. I've talked to a couple of patients, and we were in agreement that it seems that Christmas shopping season started earlier this year and noticed it in all the traffic in town. It's nice to see people out and about but I am getting older and shying away from a lot of the crowds and heavy traffic that goes on during this time of the year. I did try Black Friday shopping once and that was enough. Along with this, we're starting to see patients in the office that are stressed by the season and all the shopping and expenses. It's up to them to minimize this but we can help a patient handle stress with all the great nutritional products we have to help strengthen the body in all the systems it has- that is what health is. It's not just symptom relief but it has to do with having great energy to live in your environment and adapt to it and enjoy all the things you like to enjoy. If you're having simple symptoms like headaches and allergies and asthma and those types of things, we can easily help the body to find the underlying cause of the problem and fix it so that these simple symptoms go away. Now if you forget about getting well at this time, think about making it a New Year's resolution - to have a healthier and happier 2026. At Natural Health, we're here to help in any way we can to help you to be healthy and enjoy life.
The article that I'm sending along looks at the correlation between lots of stress and depression. The article goes into a lot of explanation on a neurologic and physiological viewpoint but at the end, talks about getting on the right kind of diet and nutritional supplements you need to offset the effects of stress. Think about a person who burns the candle at both ends, not getting enough rest and good nutrition and then also working many hours of the day and night and stressing. Then they have some type of health problem and wonder where it came from. It's not rocket science here ladies and gentlemen, it's common sense that will tell you that if you don't offset the effects of stress in your daily life, you'll definitely have more chance of some type of symptom, whether it's depression, cancer, heart disease, stroke, or whatever. Even something as simple as cholesterol is raised in the body because of perceived stress. Blood pressure and heart rate are normally raised by the body to handle stress of some type or another. Christmas time is a beautiful time of the year and can be very positive if kept in that mode, but many people dread it because of having to deal with relatives or preparing food or cleaning the house or whatever the case may be. Jesus is the reason for the season so concentrate on that and be positive and if you are burning the candles at both ends, come into Natural Health and we'll help put one of the sides of the candle out.
