Life Is Funny Sometimes

Welcome back, Natural Health Family.

We were blessed with some great weather over the weekend. This past weekend, I was able to acquire a free bike. Now, it’s funny because I had been wanting a bike just like this, and it seemed to appear out of nowhere. As I was driving around St. Louis, going to different destinations, the bike was there with a sign that said “free.” It’s interesting how the world works sometimes. I’d like to use this story to illustrate an important point when it comes to our own health and well-being.

Have you ever been trying to figure out a problem? Maybe you were writing things out and mapping them on paper, or trying to work it all out in your head. Perhaps it was a time when you were worried about some future event and didn’t know where to turn. Yet when you finally gave up the endless problem-solving, that’s when the solution came to you. It’s funny, but that’s how it often works—whether it’s a scientist solving an equation, a player making a big move in a game, or a musician creating a new song. Allowing life to unfold creates space for more possibilities to open up.

When it comes to our health, sometimes it isn’t always about doing all the “right” things (though of course making healthy choices is good). Rather, it’s about letting go of the pressure to do everything perfectly. Sometimes simply living with a little more ease and lightness brings more ease to our bodies. It can feel like a kind of surrender, or like lowering our “defenses,” but really it allows our bodies to move into a more balanced state—which naturally supports health.

Life can bring tragedies, misfortunes, joys, and celebrations. With a certain perspective, you can see the good, the bad, and even the ugly as blessings. We never know how life will turn out, but when we are healthy, we’re able to live it with more ease. So this week, look for opportunities to bless others—not with things, but with a simple smile, a kind word, or your presence. You never know who may be struggling, and your encouragement may remind them that this too shall pass.

Have a great week.
