The New Balance

Spring is coming! But that doesn’t mean it will be here tomorrow. However, it has been nice enjoying the warmer days and sunshine. I have had a realization that I know can help you all, as it has helped me. Today, let’s explore balance and what that truly means to us all.

When you hear the word balance, where does your mind go? Does it think “everything in moderation”? Perhaps your mind imagines a scale or a seesaw like kids used to play on back then. Or maybe it is a balance of work and play. Whatever it may be, I would like you to explore with me a new way of balance. When we think in terms of energy, we can see that when our body is imbalanced, we tend to feel more fatigued, and our body can express health issues. When our body is balanced, we feel more clarity, energy, and vitality, which allows us to live life more fully.

Now this could lead us to a few questions. What is it that is taking away this energy? Or how can I get more energy so I can be healthy? Have you ever caught yourself explaining why something is bad, then you carry it over to the next day, week, month, or year? Sometimes we can get caught in criticizing the negative, but in many instances, that swings us into the negative more often than not. It’s like walking into a dark room and not being able to see anything, so we curse the darkness when we can just turn on the light. Then there is the other swing, where we strive to be very positive, which leads to strain and struggle. This can also be draining. So when we can be centered and find our own balance, we can allow things to happen naturally, to rise and to fall, to swing one way and return to neutral. This can help our health and energy to return.

So, reading this, you may have had some realizations or you may as the week goes on. We can see that the world can be very chaotic at times, but it doesn’t have to mean that it causes us to be the same. We can help ourselves by being aware of what is going on and not being so entangled in the swings of it. Like the house made of bricks, the wolf can huff and puff all it wants, but we remain strong and stable.
