Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation –
I hope that you enjoyed your weekend and survived Christmas. I also hope that your stress levels were not too high and that Christmas was enjoyable. Even though we didn't have a white Christmas, it sure was nice to be able to drive around without problems. That definitely changed on Sunday with the big plummet of temperatures and high winds. The point is here that these things are stressful to the body and can lead toward sickness. At Natural Health, we have great products to help strengthen the immune system and keep people from being sick and needing treatment. Antibiotics for example, are great if a person needs them, but they also have their own side effects in causing gut bacteria death and liver and stomach issues. My point is with knowing that there are great products here to help keep the immune system strong so that you keep away from all the side effects of any medication you use whether it's prescribed or over the counter. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!
The article that I'm sending along today looks at the problem with people who are diabetic and on metformin and that interferes with the body's ability to use exercise to reduce weight and increase energy. There are two points here that need to be looked at. The first one is that just using metformin to handle diabetes is not finding the underlying cause of the problem so long term, the body suffers from the continued inflammation and lack of correct function due to the insulin resistance and “diabetes”.
When you just keep treating a disease process with a chemical, which is what a drug is, you're not helping the body to heal at all but only covering up a symptom or controlling a number. The second point is that medications always have side effects. These chemicals, or drugs, have no nutritional value so the body is not gaining any ability to help itself heal. There must be a change in lifestyle and an increase in the correct foods and nutrients to help the body heal. At Natural Health, we can figure out the underlying cause of the problem and remove any barriers to healing that a patient has acquired over the years. A good example of this is the mercury toxicity that comes from having mercury amalgams in the teeth. Since mercury is a neurotoxin, the nervous system has problems trying to coordinate healing and people get stuck in symptom complexes, like diabetes. One of our goals at Natural Health is to remove these barriers and allow the nervous system to work normally so the body can heal over time. Then using nutritional support, we can give the body the building blocks it needs to repair itself as it has for thousands and thousands of years.

From all of us here at Natural Health, we wish you a very happy New Year and please be safe.
