Slow Down

Welcome back, Natural Health Family.
It wouldn’t be a midwest January without some single digit weather would it? Yes, the weather can be cold and harsh, but it also can be a time to take life a bit slower. The winter can either make us feel like we can’t do anything or it can help us reflect that it’s okay not to get everything done all the time. When did life become a checklist of things to get done rather than to connect and experience life as it comes? Society is fast and we can get caught up, let’s choose to slow down more this time of the year.
Have you ever wondered about all the many things that people feel they need to do during the day? It could be checking emails, it could be getting kids to school, paying the bills, cleaning clothes, making dinner, satisfying customers, working enough during the week, and the list goes on. Then we can get to a point where we feel like the only way to enjoy life is to mark it on our calendars like it’s a task or chore that needs to be marked off the list. Then once we complete the to dos or tasks we have that sense of ahh, relief… then onto the next thing that needs to get done. Of course I am not saying to not do anything and definitely not to avoid our responsibilities. But what if our ability to respond to life was different? What if, instead of knee jerking at the things that need to get done on list, we slowed down and appreciated the ability to still be able to do those things? What if we chose to come from a different state?
Like our phones and computers, we need to update, reset, and/or recharge so that our brains and bodies can work more effectively which leads to better health. At Natural Health our mission is to give great service so that we help do just that along with educating our patients where and when they need it. Life doesn’t have to feel like a battle or constant race to get somewhere. Let it flow, let it unfold and see where it takes you.
Have a good rest of the week.
