Welcome back again, Natural Health Family.
I hope everyone had a great weekend and had a little fun enjoying the festivities in town. As some of you know now, over the weekend I cut my thumb. It wasn’t just a mild scrape but something that I had to really take care of as the bleeding wouldn’t stop (a pretty good amount came off slicing potatoes). Right then and there I wasn’t much thinking of anything else than to make sure I could get the bleeding to stop. Of course my mind raced a little but I realized it made me very present of what was going on in the moment. I would like to share how this was actually a blessing and how it relates to our own health and wellbeing.
Do you ever catch yourself thinking or maybe overthinking about something which you can’t control? Or have you worried about what to do in a given scenario or been frustrated about what happened a day, week, or month ago? I am sure we have all been there. However, have you noticed that it doesn’t seem to help the situation out. That we can’t think of the problem and wrestle it to the ground with our thoughts. When I cut my finger, I realized that it made me more present, (I wouldn’t advise doing it just to be present ha). We can sometimes get caught in all that's going on in life and forget that we can’t and don’t have to control it all. That at times it is important to just quiet our minds. To realize that many times in our life things works out in ways we could never have predicted. That ultimately we are still here, living, breathing, and that what we worried about in the past has worked itself out.
This week I encourage you to take some time to quiet your mind. Even if it’s only for five minutes a day. This allows us to bring back our brain and bodies back to harmony by allowing our nervous system to be balanced again.
I appreciate everyone for reading and wish you all a great day.
