Decision

Good morning, noon, or night Natural Health Family.

I hope everyone had a good weekend full of fun events or just a relaxing couple of days. Sometimes in our lives we go through some events or situations that throw us for a loop. We can get knocked off our path and find ourselves in the weeds where the once visible path is no longer seen. When this happen we become discouraged, fear can set in, and we feel powerless. However, it is never too late to search back for the guiding light and get us back to where we want to go. The world can distract us and we can become fixated on what it tells us is good for us, nonetheless, it is up to us to decide to be who we are and know in our hearts what is good.

Do you know the definition of the word decide? The word decide comes from the Latin word decidere, which literally means “to cut off.” So when we make a decision about something, we are in a sense cutting all ties that keep us from that choice. The world or society will tell us that we are victims of our past, our heritage, our genes, our age, etc. It often tells us that we are weak, broken, or that to be healthy and well is an unrealistic goal. But, I will tell you that HEALTH is a normal state. That we have been told what to think rather than how to think in much of what we learn. The health paradigm of many is flawed and that is why so many suffer. We have lost our wisdom and ways to be healthy, attacking the illnesses, and forgetting our own potential to heal.

So I leave you with this. Deciding to be healthy is letting go of what contradicts that goal. It is realizing that we have the power to be well. It is performing healthy actions, getting guidance when needed, and learning more of ourselves in the journey. Don’t fight the issues, the illness, the dis-ease rather study health and realize your own healing potential.

Enjoy the week.
