Let's focus on “Health” and not on “comfort”

Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation-
I hope that you had a great weekend and were able to get outside some. The
grass is greening up and I know folks are busy getting ready to mow grass and enjoy
some outside time after what seemed like a long winter. The temperatures are still up
and down, and people are feeling some stress from this, as well as being low on vitamin
D levels due to being stuck inside for a long time, and we're hearing a lot of people
complain of sickness in their neighbors and family. I'm thankful that the population here
at Natural Health is much better off than the folks who aren't.
This is due to the fact that
we look at the immune system in a way to strengthen it rather than just focus on the
bugs that are out there. I talked to a family member whose family is having particular
problems with sickness, and they were looking at cleaning the whole house with strong
chemicals to kill the bugs, which is unfortunately hard on the immune systems of the
people living there. There are so many good things you can do to help the immune
system be strong and not have to worry about the “bugs”. This is our focus at Natural
Health; working on the other side of the coin to strengthen the terrain of the body rather than worrying about bugs that are out there and are going to be out there forever.
Wouldn't you rather be healthy than just not sick?
The article that I'm sending looks at the problems with antidepressants because
partly they don't work for many people, and because they're very addictive and cause
side effects that ripple throughout families and society. The article is very revealing in
that it talks about the amount and severity of the side effects that go along with taking
antidepressants and not treating the underlying cause of the problem. In our world, we
have helped many patients get off of antidepressants because we find the underlying
cause of the problem which is normally related to stress in their environment and the
lack of nutritional support to handle the stress that these people are under. Mainstream
medicine uses drugs to help with symptoms which are sometimes helpful but should
only be used short term as they are not looking at the underlying cause and the body
will have another problem due to robbing Peter to pay Paul with the body's storehouse
of nutrition and building blocks used for handling stress, whatever the form may be. This can be psychological stress or even physical stress but especially over long periods of time without getting the nutrients and nutritional factors needed to offset this stress.
As you know, many people like to rely on comfort food to help them handle stress but most of this “comfort” food is junk and has no nutritional value. This makes the patient even worse as they are adding to the problem that started the problem in the first place. They may feel a little better on the junk, but much worse later on. Let's focus on “Health” and not on “comfort”.
