Peace

Welcome back again, Natural Health Family.

Welcome back, Natural Health Family. It’s that time of the year again as it gets cooler out and we are heading into the holiday season. During demanding seasons, we often get caught up in stress and place high expectations on ourselves. Instead of trying to control the world around us, let's shift our focus. Inner peace is a personal journey; it is found not by changing the outside, but by cultivating it within.

Does it seem that the world shows us all that is or can go wrong? When you watch the news or scroll social media do you start to wonder about all the bad things that have happened or will happen in the future. News outlets know that negative stories get more attention than positive stories. The drama and gossip can be almost addicting for people which gets it more views. This, however, can make us think or believe that life has to be that way. Our minds start to look for what is wrong or what could go wrong. So then we feel we have to be on the alert, that we have to take a strong stand and that when others have a difference of opinion we can feel threatened or attacked. This goes back to a primal state which can be associated with a part of our brain that has a protective nature. However, most of the time, now that we are not living in caves, we have running water, and we are not tribes attacking each other, this nature is not needed in our interactions with others. We can see that usually everyone is doing their best with what they know and how to navigate life. So when we realize we are thinking about what stresses us, we should slow down and keep our peace, which should help others realize it for themselves as well.

We are at interesting times now with many so many things going on in the world. But life goes on, and just like the seasons in the weather, there will be change, some good some bad. Therefore it is not up to us to change life, rather we should practice adapting to it and be at peace.

Thanks for reading and have a good week.
