The Good, The Bad, The Healthy

Welcome back, Natural Health Family.

I hope everyone had a great weekend filled with some fun or some relaxation. As we all are starting to see, health is becoming a broader topic with the news and different internet platforms. Many of us have been able to witness the trends of health topics come and go. Some could be good, some obviously not, and others reign true even today. Let’s explore this more and find out how to be principled in health rather than just following the next trend.

Does anyone remember all the exercise commercials back then? Or have been around to see the next 1 800 BAD DRUG commercials? Or possibly the next big diet fad that keeps fading away? Or the fear that cholesterol is bad so it’s good to only eat the whites, but then later realizing it’s better to eat the whole egg? Or the idea that when we are able to map the human genome then everything will be all better (which was completed in 2003, and chronic health issues have only gotten worse since then.) So all this make a person think, it makes you wonder what is the deal and how do we get back to health which is sustainable. That is when we have to get back to the basics. What we have been doing for 1000s of years, what doesn’t change, and what works. When we come from the position of how our body’s get stronger and more adaptable rather than being scared of everything around us, we are better able to see how we can get healthy and stay healthy. When we are able to support ourselves with good food/nutrition, help our nervous systems be balanced and adaptable, and have a better understanding of the power of our bodies and what potential they hold, then it becomes clear how health is a normal state for us.

If you follow the news and see advocates telling you about what is healthy but see them in a not so healthy state, then examine it and be mindful of what is being said and if it actually rings true. When it comes to health, it can be simple to see what gets results and what has been known to help our bodies heal for centuries. Sometimes it’s not the next best thing on the market but rather a better understanding, a support system, and the will to question the narrative. We are here to help at Natural Health to support you on that journey.

Have a great week!

-Dr. Chip
