There is no better time than right now to slow down, not get lost in the storm, but find the stillness in it as you can.

Welcome back, Natural Health Family. I hope everyone had a great weekend. Over the weekend, I was discussing social media with someone and the numerous platforms available. We both agreed that they can be used for both good and bad. It also made me realize how much information and different sources are constantly getting our attention and energy. Let’s discuss what could be taking up so much of our time and energy, and why it's essential to assess ourselves in our daily lives.

Why does it seem like everyone always has to be so busy? Why is it that many people feel like they need so many things? Of course, I am not saying that having nice things in life is bad. What I am questioning is the ongoing pull to have different things, the feeling that we need to accomplish this or that, the tension to always have the next best thing. When you look on the internet, social media, TV, etc., you will notice that much of our attention is being taken away. It can get us into a cycle that can drain our energy, distract us from completing certain tasks, or make us feel like we need to buy this or that. The drug commercials tell us that if you have this, you need to take that. Social media paints the picture of everyone’s highlight reels, which pull at the strings of others. It goes on and on. This can breed the perfect storm. When you think about life only 30 years ago, there was no internet or social media. People had to communicate with each other eye to eye or through word of mouth. We bought what was there around us instead of comparing all the thousands of options to choose from. Again, I am not saying this is wrong and that it needs to all change. I am saying is be more aware of how it could be dictating your energy. All of these other things in our lives today can make life seem so chaotic. Like a constant strain or tension of always looking or reaching for the next thing. There is no better time than right now to slow down, not get lost in the storm, but find the stillness in it as you can.

When we think of someone healthy, we imagine someone vital with balanced energy. Life can be amazing, but many times life can seem like it is going so fast and in all directions. That is why we need to make sure that we are balanced well. That we can better utilize our own energy and help ourselves be more stable amidst everything else life can throw at us. Have a great week!
